Engagement Shoots.
What is an Engagement Shoot?
An engagement - or pre wedding - shoot is in simplest terms, a photo shoot you have before your wedding. It usually last around an hour, and takes place either in a studio setting or maybe at a location that is special to you two as a couple.
The shoot can take place at any time in the run up to your actual wedding day, and there are definite benefits to booking one with Janet Gow Photography...
A 'Test Run'.
If you've not booked a wedding photographer yet, but you're considering me as an option, an engagement shoot could be a good investment - it gives you the opportunity to "try before you buy", to see how I work, to see if we 'gel' when working together and most importantly, the resulting quality of images. And during and after the shoot we can chat more about your wedding plans.
If you have already booked me to photograph your wedding, it's a chance for me to run through the way I will photograph you on the day of the wedding which, if you're not keen on having your photo taken usually, will make the photos on the actual day seem a lot less daunting.
After the shoot, when your images are ready I will email you the link to an online, password protected gallery of your images. If you wish to purchase any prints or jpegs, you can do this securely via the website. This way I hope you will never feel under pressure to spend more money than you're comfortable with.
A Great Gift Idea.
Once you've had the shoot and maybe purchased the jpegs, you can use them for a variety of uses : to create "Save The Date" cards, to create Signing Books and Signing Frames, and to frame to give to your parents during the speeches at your wedding - everyone loves flowers but they won't last as long as a framed photo of the recipient's favourite couple now will they?
